Skydiving!

Yes, we went skydiving! Jumped out of a plane (attached to an instructor) at 9000 feet - above the clouds - with 25 seconds of freefall and parachuting down! It was amazing! Unfortunately we don't have any photos (it cost about 80 quid to get a photographer to jumpout the plane with you) but it was an amazing experience. My instructor did all of these fancy twirls as well going down.

In Dunedin at the moment - the only place in NZ to sell fresh haggis! Def be checking that out! :S

  2. Good that worked. I am glad you didn't tell us about your skydiving before you did it!! glad you were attached to an instructor. Why have you got a jacket on at the glacier and Nick is in short sleeves?? Did you enjoy the haggis?? thats the last thing I would have imagined you would find in NZ, must be some Scots about.x

  3. I have a jacket on because I'm quite cold and Nick doesn't really get cold easily...but walking straight up a glacier does actually keep you pretty warm. We didn't actually eat any haggis...the whole sheep intestines thing doensn't really appeal!! Yeah, Dunedin is the city founded by the Scots, and Christchurch is the city founded by the English. It's a quite interesting story actually, the English wanted Christchurch to be the most christian city in the southern hemisphere (hence the name) and only let people under the age of 40 and with a letter from their vicar saying that they were honest and god-fearing emigrate to Christchurch! Times have changed since then though...we walked past a strip club earlier today! xxx
